Congratulations again (July 3rd 2001)


Our local 3D whiz kid has made us proud again. Tan Jin Ho adds another feather to his cap after winning the Gold Award (Students Category) in the Comgraph 2001 Asia Pacific Digital Art and Animation Competition, held in conjunction with BroadcastAsia 2001, in Singapore recently. His winning entry, A Malaysian Friday  was highly commended by the Vice-chairman of SIGGRAPH Singapore, Dr Lee Yong Tsui, who cited it as an example of the high quality of this year s entries. Congratulations again!

Adobe Premiere 6.0 now Real Time For NewTek s Video Toaster
Bob Tesa releases the real-time plugin for Adobe Premiere 6.0, which enables native, real-time editing on NewTek s Video Toaster 1.0. This plugin becomes the first uncompressed, Real-time D1 software-only engine for Premiere 6.0 and is scheduled to ship on June 14, 2001.

Shockwave 3D exporter for LightWave (June 12th 2001)


LightWave gets further support for major formats with the development of the shockwave 3D exporter, which will allow the export of LightWave 3D models and scenes into Shockwave 3D format, for use with Macromedia's Director software.
For a hands-on experience of the exporter, a public beta version is available from NewTek.
